Reading this post I an more very clear what you are suggesting.
Are you suggesting we need to validate for user input for SEO? I think we do.
We can not do much if URL with SEO is incorrect. We show missing page error.

Could you please clarify you want to display error page if category seo key is incorrect for the product pages, right?  ::)
