How can I stay on the product page after adding an item to my cart?

Hi All,

When you add an item to your cart, it automatically takes you to your shopping cart. Is there a way just to keep shopping (stay on the current product page) without going to your cart?

Yes. This is enabled by default. Check checkout setting "Same Page Add To Cart" and make sure product does not have options.
If product has options, customer will be redirected to page to select these options.

It's never worked for me on 1.2.7 or 1.2.8. It keeps sending me to the cart page after I add a product. My settig is attached.

I don't understand the question? I have tried this setting with On and with Off, but no matter what I do, when a customer adds an item (with no options) to the cart, it goes straight to the basket page.
