On the front page there is a banner that displays ad's, just below that is another banner with free shipping and payments etc. how do i either edit that or delete it? I cannot find it. I can find the banner and change the ads but the one below is where I am having difficulty.

It is a block - 

in your admin panel go to Design > Layouts

Select HOME page from the dropdown page selection

you will see Main Page promo  blocks -  select the edit and you can change the content


OR  you can go in thru the blocks  (helps if you know the name of the block you are looking for)

in your admin panel go to Design > Blocks
input   'main page promo'  in the name field  and it will bring up the block for editing
