Increase the width of banner image

Hi All,
I am to trying to increase the width of my banner as I use 29 inch screen it just appears in 1100 px width I have made images which are 1600px wide and would like to use them for the whole area, I saw flex-slider.css and tried increasing max width for media query but it did'nt work. Any suggestions?
