Storefront - Lost Graphics
« on: December 11, 2016, 02:25:05 AM »
Hi All
In desparate need of help.

I am using v1.2.8

I was looking to set up a multi store and some how have managed to lose the graphics on the storefront of the primary site (secondsystems.co.uk/abantecart/).

The new storefront  (paragtim.co.uk) is a direct replica of the primary site and retains all the graphics that should be showing on the primary.

All the product and manufacturers graphics on the  (secondsystems.co.uk/abantecart/) storefront have gone but still remain on the product pages.  Other than this the site still works.

Can someone point me in the right irection to resolve this problem.

UPDATE:
If I change the number of items to display from 4 to 8 the graphics come back.  Really confused now

Many thanks in advance

Hello.

You have misconfiguration with not valid SSL and Store Url setting,
when visit http://secondsystems.co.uk/abantecart/ firebug addon in browser report error
Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://www.secondsystems.co.uk/abantecart/storefront/view/default/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff?v=4.4.0. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing).

So check your Store url setting - www and non-www are different sites. And make sure your SSL certificate is valid

Hi,
Many thanks for the reply.

I will investigate the points that you made about the SSL. Always good to be aware of problems so they can be sorted.

Still not sure how this is going to help me get the graphices back onto the storefront.  It was displaying correctly then stopped, no changes where made to the site configuration, other than trying to get multi-store to work.

Still looking for answers

Most of browsers block some https resources to load if SSL certificate have issues.

I check you code and see secondsystems.co.uk/abantecart/ load images from //www.paragtim.co.uk/image/thumbnails/18/81/Goji_VR_headset_01_png-100381-250x250.png

Did you set up multistore correctly?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.  The original installation was to secondsystems.co.uk and that installation worked perfectly.

paragtim.co.uk was added as a add-on domain and the root folder for that domain is empty.  The add-on domain is pointing to the secondsystems.co.uk/abantecart/ through cpanel

When I tried to set up multi-store on paragtim.co.uk I thought I had followed the instructions correctly, but the result was effectively a clone of secondsystems.co.uk.

This is when the problems with the graphics started.

I think I have solved the problem of the graphics by trying another template and reverting back.  The storefront display would only work (display the images) if I set the no of images to 8.  We are now back to 4.

Looking at  the goji headset (the same one you looked at) I can see no reference to paragtim.co.uk, although there are references to Cross-origin requests blocked.

Do you believe that there are issues with the SSL?

I look forward to you reply and again thanks for the help
