Before install - update stock from hosted sql regularly rather than csv etc

Hi all

Bit of a curly one this...

So, playing with SHOPIFY and i'm quite horrified by what you CAN'T do easily with it.

I'm looking at installing abantecart but it'll be on the same server as my web hosting that holds stock levels for 20,000 items held currently in an SQL database.

Every hour we update this stock from  a management system but i wonder if i could then update the stock levels of abantecart relatively easily without having to resort to manual csv imports .

Thoughts ?

I think the only option is to create an automatic import script to process your stock update with CSV.
We have done this for number of clients.

I wonder how else do you imagine this to be accomplished for 20k products?
