Customer's Telephone required

Hi,

I need to make telephone number a required field in Guest and Customers Registration forms. I am not able to find any option to change this setting in Admin Panel. How can i do that?

This extension in the Market Place will solve this easily.

llegrand, Thank you for your recommendation. But this is a $15 extension. I am sure there is a way to do it for free.

Does anyone know a way to make telephone a required option without paid extension?

This worked very well for me but you ideally don't want to modify core files as they might be over-written in future upgrades and you'll need to keep remembering to make the respective code changes.

I do agree that the $15 extension is a bit pricey though, but worth if you want to have less hassle in the future.
