AbanteCart Development > Payment Modules
Help with PayPal extension installation.
(1/1)
nsfwproject:
Hello, I'm trying to configure the PayPal extension, and got few questions to ask.
E-Mail: Have to be my PayPal account email?
Test Mode: Have no idea what is it, can someone please explain?
Order Status: Which one i have to choose, to this payment option work like on any normal website which accept paypal as payment option?
Transaction Method: Sale or Authorization?
Also, i would REALLY appreciate if someone can give me a link to some guides or documentation regarding AbanteCart and it extensions.
Cannot make topics on forum all the time, need to learn myself, as i really like it, and want to keep using it for my store.
Thanks
Basara:
Hello.
* e-mail: your PayPal e-mail address
* Test Mode: set to Yes if you want to test transaction with sandbox.
* Order Status: The recommended status is Pending
* Transaction Method: Sale or Authorization? This is something related to Paypal, anyway it should work in next way:
"Authorization = Money is "held" for you from the customer but you must manually accept it from within your paypal account
Sale = Money is debited from the customers account instantly and put into your account immediately on confirmation"
* link to some guides or documentation regarding AbanteCart: see link http://www.abantecart.com/ecommerce-documentation/47-admin-user-manual/extensions-menu/payments#PayPal

Hello, I really appreciate your answer. This helped a lot.
familyfirstom:
I've followed all these instructions but my checkout never allows for a Paypal payment. The only option is ever 'cash on delivery'. How can I have it default to Paypal?
Nimitz1061:
Shipping module allow you to restrict which payment modules are presented if they are selected.
Check your shipping module settings, and see if the COD module is selected on one or more of them. If so, un-check the box and save settings. May have to clear cache to see results..
