Migrating from Agora

I have several hundred products. Can I produce a text file in some particular format and load up my database, rather than add products one at a time?

Sure you can. Export your products into .CSV format (it is a text version of tables like excel) and import into AbanteCart.
Backup before import please. Check this documentation
