Block not working properly

Hi
             need some help i'm create custom block for custom categories but it's show me products i want show the main categories.
i all ready select in block Listing Data Source=> Custom categories But is show me only products.

I cant replicate your issue. Did you add only one category? It is not clear in your screenshot what you save in block
