Error: Cannot locate file package.xml inside of extracted extension.

I get this error evertime I try installing extensions...

Error: Cannot locate file package.xml inside of extracted extension. Possibly extension was not extracted correctly. Check log for errors
Stuck? Not a problem. You can install extensions another way.

I have tried installing with the key, downloading, etc. Get the same error each installation method!

Is this easily corrected? I haven't tried FTP method yet.

When you install with FTP unarchive tar.gz then (based on your un-archive software) you may need unarchive .tar file.
After locate /extension_name/code/extensions/extension_name/ folder and move it via FTP to your server /extensions/ directory.

Extension should be listed in your Admin > Extensions > All extensions
