How to remove product zoom

Hello, I found an old thread here about removing the zoom feature for a product but the link was broken.

I do not want to complicate things, I just do not have a need for the zoom and would like it completely removed.

Can someone please offer an easily implemented solution?

We use "easyzoom" javascript module.
To disable it go to file public_html/storefront/view/default/template/pages/product/product.tpl:465

Comment line:
start_easyzoom();

it's not working, I try to command it out and even delete some of them but still, moreover, this effect make difficult to scroll when touch on product image specifically on androids.
