Discounts for multiple product purchases

(1/1)

fdangelo:
After paying full price for the first purchase, we offer discounts for each subsequent purchase.
I could have multiple copies of the same product, each with a different price, but how would I make sure they purchase the 1st, second, third?
Obviously, everyone would buy the third one.
I could have discount coupons, but again, I don't see how to make sure they will use each coupon in sequence.

I guess it's very similar to Buy-one-get-one.
Has any else come across this usage?

llegrand:
Look at Products - Promotions tab  - discounts.  You can set quantities and pricing

attached is a standard product with several levels of discounts.

this is one possible solution.

I have also added one that has textarea options enable so you can get the childs name.

There are lots of default configurations available for you without any coding needs.  You can add parent/child options for different routes,  if needed.

I've tried something similar with discount setups when running a small online store. I used sequential discount vouchers; keeping track of usage was tricky initially. What worked for me was using codes that expired after a single use, forcing customers to redeem them in order. It made things more straightforward but still required an organized system to manage.
