Hello. This issue cannot be resolved without SSL, as it is required for payment transactions.

i think this is wrong option you are forcing people to use it because not all people will want to work with online payment gateways and could maybe prefer to make the payment by (bank transfer) and in this case the order could  be placed without any need of encryptions. i think you should do some changes on this policy and make it more flexible. I hope that we gonna see a new option in the next version to solve this issue.
