Error upgrading 1.3.0 to 1.3.1
« on: August 18, 2021, 10:20:53 AM »
I get this error upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1. App

Warning: AbanteCart core v.1.3.0 mobile_app directory is missing.

I've completed many upgrades without problems. If I have to manually create a mobile app directory, or more, where is it created and what name/permissions are needed for it.

The system starts the download and then shows this message.

Thanks.

I should have added that it's running PHP 7.4. The only other options are 7.3 and 8.0.

None work.

mobile_app is not a core directory.
i guess it's a warning about some extension.
You can you check table "extensions" inside database. If you'll see mobile_app there and directory public/extensions/mobile_app is not exists you can delete row.

Otherwise please clarify your issue conditions.

I checked and deleted three of the extensions that weren't working and now there is an "Archive error." These are the errors...

App Error: AbanteCart core v.1.3.0 Error: Cannot unpack file
App Error: AbanteCart core v.1.3.0 internal corruption of phar

My host offers php 8.0, 7.4 and 7.3. None work.

Ideas?

1. You should to check is phar-extension of PHP installed. Just open page admin->system->settings->system and click "phpinfo " button at the heading.
You will see all information about running php. Is PHAR presents there?
2. If not presents - install it. Otherwise try to enable system check there (on settings page) and check it's report about requirements.
3. If no errors and upgrade still fail - do manual upgrade

Hey Core Devs,
I want to report on this Phar error - my servers all give this error on upgrading to 1.3.1  and Phar is enabled on them.
We have success every time by manually updated the update package  -  not one failure.  This condition exists in PHP 7.3, 7.4 and 8.0 when trying to use network install.

I can now report that there are a many others that have the same issue -  I get support tickets from our extension users frequently  saying  "I can't upgrade"  and they are running servers in multiple hosting around the global.  We give them the update package and the instructions and it works.

This is the first upgrade that has had this issue- so I would like to posit that it is something within the network install that is problematic to multiple servers on multiple hosts.   And hopefully it does not show up in the 1.3.2  that you are working on now.

Regards,
Lee with WHY2 support team

Hello. Thank you for your report. The issue was related to the domain and not related to the 1.3.1
We have resolved it but changes may apply in few hours based on your DNS provider update time.
