have tried to install v1.0 v1.2 v1.3(beta)

filezilla - uploaded using "auto" type setting for filezilla

uploaded folder code >> icebuggy/public_html/extensions

code/extensions/developer_tools
set permissions to 0777

don't see this anywhere: directory for cloned template
don't see this anywhere: For template extension clone, you need to set temporary /extensions/ directory to 777
don't see this anywhere: core template clone set /storefront/view/ directory to 777

Tried setting folders I thought were right, to 0777
went to my site admin/extensions/install extensions
dev tools isn't there.

This is from the ReadMe file:

It is important to make sure that developer_tools directory and directory for cloned template have complete rules to write files (777). For template extension clone, you need to set temporary /extensions/ directory to 777 and for core template clone set /storefront/view/ directory to 777

now I'm stuck, step by step from here would be greatly appreciated.

Hello.

You need to upload v1.3beta/code/extensions/developer_tools directory and after upload go to the Extensions > All Extension to install developer tools extension

Did that and cleared cache in admin.

Doesn't show in Extensions All

Hello.
Try to set the rwxr-xr-x (755) for the developer_tools folder and all subfolders. The extension files have to be rw-r--r-- (644)

I still can't see the dev tools in Extensions All.

Is there something I need to do to activate it?

All I did was Upload code folder to extensions folder

all permissions were already set to what you listed above

Went to extensions All
not there

cleared cache and browser
still not there

I think maybe I need step by step...haven't worked on coding in many years

I'm using default template

Think I figured this out...

After downloading dev tools 1.3beta
open each folder till you find the DevTools folder
upload THAT folder(only that folder) to
public_html>extensions

Then I can see it in All Extensions
click install (little arrow)
Turn it on

Go to  System>  Should see Dev Tools
Go to Design>Templates
Click the double page icon(bottom right on the Default picture)
follow instructions on screen

I didn't notice an option for cloning Bootstrap5...maybe someone else knows??

I have one more question:
Why download all those folders if we don't need to upload them?
