How do I change the date format from 13/08/2013  to   08/13/2013  or even   8/13/2013  ?

Thanks for your help.

You need to edit language entry for date_format_short and date_format_long  in System -> Languages -> Language Definition

See screenshot.

Note: there is a small bug in 1.1.6 with storefront selection, it shows both admin and storefront. Will be addressed in 1.1.7.

OK, those are what I have as my settings and it still is wrong ... guess I have to wait for the fix.  Thanks for your help.

What section do you see it in wrong format? If you change setting, do you see changes in the format?

TopWebNames

Thanks for this. I understand what d/m/Y and m/d/Y, etc. mean; but what does this mean:  l dS F Y

yapkot

l is day dS is the date with suffix, like 23rd or 15th, F is month and Y is year

The changes are still on language definitions but they are not reflecting on the site or invoices.  Do I need to change them somewhere besides just the language definitions?

     Hi Basara,
Thank you for your suggestion ... I have done all of that and the date remains the same both in admin and on the site.  My language definitions are all changed but it hasn't changed the format in admin or the website storefront, I'm thinking something is broken in my install although I have had no other problems.  I don't know what to do since the way it should be done isn't working?

Hello.

1. What is Your AbanteCart version?
2. what exactly your change (provide new values)?
3. did you try to clear cache?
4. did you see changes only somewhere or everything is not changed?
5. did you see any errors (date format related) in admin error log?

It looked fine until I did the upgrade to version 1.1.6 from 1.1.5.  I messed it up obviously and this weird look to my file upload otion was the result, any way to fix it??  Do I need to just uninstall and reinstall the cart?
