Fast checkout is a default extension that is control within the extensions.  Here's the info for you

https://abantecart.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AD/pages/1529741323/Fast+checkout

a reminder that Basara indicated within the Fast checkout extension you can control the settings for phone number.  But is not a required field within the regular default check out.

I believe that the phone number is not your issue.   There is no requirement for the phone number field and it does not check for any specific number format.

Are you trying a guest checkout?  Which checkout page are you getting stuck on?  Are you seeing any warning within the checkout page,  perhaps not checking a read box that is enabled?   It usually appears towards the top of your checkout page

Suggest you look into your error logs.

Perhaps enable a higher level of debug - see this link for more information.

Did you perhaps use Softaculous to install your site originally?  If so,  did you set auto backups within softaculous?  If so check for Softaculous backups.

Built-in Features / Re: Quantity option in products
« on: August 10, 2021, 08:00:40 PM »
one other thought although it might not fit your pricing model,   if you have a promotion (quantity discount) or an option on your products
it will take your customer to the product page  as they have to select something.

Here's the info on the quantity discounts

Yes  Basara,  that is a good thing to point out.   The real point here is each TYPE of option has different features in what it offers.

Cheers!

If you check the product in a demo site  you will see it is using the selectbox type for the options.

Screen shot attached.

Please describe your options conditions a bit further.

If your options are to size or color or something like that,  and your customer is only buying one of the options, say they want 3 of the red ones,  then the quantity is managed in the normal method by input in the qty field on the product page.

However,  if you are wanting to allow them to buy 2 red and 3 blue  on the same product page at the same there is currently no way to do that in the options.  They need to buy the red ones and then buy the blue ones.

If the second condition is your goal,  but might look at our extension where we treat Products as options. https://marketplace.abantecart.com/product_as_option
It was designed to add the stock tracking of products that are add-ons to a product.

Take a look at the manual for our weight calculator extension.

https://why2central.net/v1/weight-calc/

We haven't placed it in the MarketPlace yet,  but contact us if you would like a demo.  there is a contact info on the manual site.

perhaps this will help

https://abantecart.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AD/pages/14647508/Backup+Restore

There are many ways to backup your site,  including the one within the admin panel  and also Softaculous if you have it in your cPanel

Your new hosting provider quite often will  transfer your site for you,  usually without a fee depending on the host.  But you should still backup your exisitng site and do not cancel that service until your new site is confirmed to be working.

I was thinking about  your requirement again,  let me double check my understanding :  you want to offer only some of your products to only some locations for local delivery.

Without having to code to meet this requirement  I think you might be able to do this:

using options  to could add the local delivery to only some products.  You would need to "trust" your customers to read the area.
You could charge or not charge as you wish.
I have added some screen shots of my idea.

This would be very simple if you offered local delivery for all your products  :)

Just an idea for you to think about.

Built-in Features / Re: Customer Account Page Suggestion

I do see your point. although in the 7 + yrs we have provided this cart to our many clients each with hundreds of customers  it has never been a reported issue or problem for users.  Perhaps as a starting (again) user you are looking at it with too close of a viewpoint.  Or perhaps the core devs will redesign  how it works in a future release.

There is a Control Panel Session Expiration setting that controls the length of inactive to require a new login

that is not the behavior that any normal installation has.  If you are logged into your account and click on the check order  it goes to  My Order History.   Perhaps you have adjusted some of your coding again?!?!

If you think your customers will be unable to hover over the Welcome Back to see the dropdown -  you can change the title in localization>language definitions

and we in this forum are equally confused why an engine control  question is posted on our eCommerce platform?

but I think a quick Google search will give you an answer.
