Looking into your snapshot there are 2 tabs: Europe and USA. Each Tab contain separate settings for each Location

Yes for example under the Tab Europe you can see my weight based shipping examples:
5:10.00,7:12.00

Edit Location - Europe
I see following 2 Tabs
Tab1 Details  Tab2 Location Zones

Under Tab Details it says:
Location Name = Europe
Description = All Countries

Under Tab Location Zones I have added 3 countries
Germany
Spain
Switzerland

However the only editable option for these 3 countries
is to delete them. There is no option for these countries
to add weight based shipping values. Why is that ?

Also when I go to Catalogue => Products and edit a product there
there are only 1.Free Shipping - 2.Fixed Shipping Price and 3.Weight settings
but no weight based shipping.

I found this in the forum but can not get it to work:

1. Use weight based shipping extension Extensions -> Shipping
2. Set locations (countries) you need System -> Localization -> Locations
3. Set 1 rate cost per each location  in Weight Based Shipping -> Additional settings
This will give you fixed cost per location (country in your case).

I have installed the extension Weight Based Shipping but it is not possible
to set 1 rate cost per each location.
What am I missing ?

I have following setup in the Admin:
I haved added Europe in System => Localization => Locations
Location Name = Europe
Description = All countries

I have added weight based shiping in System => Extensions
Additional Settings - weight based shipping
Europe
Rates = 5:10.00,7:12.00
Status = ON

If I go to additional settings I see nowhere a possibility to set 1 rate cost per each location.
What do i do wrong ?

Also I see default_royal_mail and default_ups but I see nowhere default_dhl
where can I find the extension default_dhl ?

We bring our products to our local post office to send them to our customers.
Is it necessary to install something like royal_mail in order to make
weight based shipping to work ?

I have this error message:
Language definition "default_weight_sort_order" is missing for "English"

So, I went to:
Admin => English => System => Localization => Language Definitions => English

In the key bar I entered default_weight to filter out with default_weight:

There appear to be only 4 keys with the part default_weight in it:
default_weight_name
default_weight_status
default_weight_autoselect
default_weight_accept_payments

It seems that the key "default_weight_sort_order" is not there at all !
So is it okay to add this key my self with + insert ?
I have never inserted a new key before, will it not cause conflicts in the database ?

I extracted default_weight extension from AbanteCart 1.1.9
and uploaded to the server. Now it´s working 

You can download latest AbanteCart zip file. Unarchive it and copy all extensions from abantecart_1.1.9.zip\abantecart_1.1.9\public_html\extensions
to extensions folder on your server

If I go to Admin => Extensions => Shipping
I see only 1 shipping extension there: default_flat_rate_shipping.

Where is the rest of the shipping extensions ? I must say that I installed
an empty AbanteCart cart. So where can I download them and install them.
I don´t see them neither in the extensions store
What I need is the shipping extension: Weight Based Shipping.

Hi. Maybe this is old error? Try to clear Abantecart cache and error log

Unfortunately not. I emptied many times the error messages and the cache.
Error message always comes back.
Is there a difference maybe between installing the german language from the extensions store
or uploading the language pack to the server ? That´s what I did,
I uploaded and unzipped the german language pack to /extensions/german_language/
Can this be the problem ?

I have a webshop running on PrestaShop and I want to port this
webshop to AbanteCart. Will I have the same page ranking in Google
after or does the porting from PrestaShop to AbanteCart change anything
in my old page ranking ?

Would be real good to end this problem.
These are my settings in System = Localization => Languages:

Spanish Details:
Status = ON
Language Name = Español
Code = es
Locale = es_ES.UTF-8,es_ES,spanish
Sort order = 3


English Details:
Status = ON
Language Name = English
Code = en
Locale = en_US.UTF-8,en_US,en-gb,english
Directory = english
Sort order = 2

Deutsch Details:
Status = ON
Language Name = Deutsch
Code = de
Locale = de_DE.UTF-8,de_DE,german
Directory = german
Sort order = 1

My settings in System => Settings => Details

Storefront Language: English
Administration Language: English
Auto translate status = ON

I switched from german to english language
But that did not take away the error:

Error! Default language with code "de" is not available or disabled.
Loading Deutsch language to keep system operating.
Check your settings for default language
in /core/engine/language.php on line 300

I tried but without success. In English and Spanish, thumbnails with "loading" still showing up.

i followed the steps you gave and i still didnt find the Main Page Promo block. What do i do?

In the Admin go to: Design => Blocks
Now you see the following:
ID        Unique Text ID       Name

Under Name you see a bar where you can enter text.
In this bar, type the word promo
Then press the enter key on your keyboard
Then following will show up: html_block    main page promo
Go to the right side where you see edit block and delete
Click on edit block
Now you can edit for all languages, or disable the block

I have a problem with product images in English and Spanish,
in German everything is working.

When I add products and product images, the product images show up correct
in the store front.

However when I click on a product image, it shows only the thumb image and "loading ..."
This happens in English and Spanish. When I go to the German part everything works ok.
How can this be ?

I have this in System => Settings => Details:
Storefront Language = Deutsch
Administration Language = Deutsch
Source language for translation = English

System => Localization => Languages:
Español    sort order 3
English     sort order 2
Deutsch    sort order 1

Finally Found it : 17_1   html_block   Main Page Promo
