I did what you said: System => Localization => currencies
and looked there at the currencies
I have there Euro + British Pound + Dollar
The Euro was there configured 0.76565.....
I really don´t know where this configuration came from - I did not enter it.
I changed it to 1.0000
Problem Solved !!
All prices in Store Front are now okay the same as I enter them in the Admin

I am using version 1.1.9

current tax rates 3% and 7% with priority 1 and 2
Locations USA and Spain

I did not my self set this tax rate of 23,22 percent, yet it shows up
in the prices on the storefront.

I looked everywhere in the backend, t looked everywhere in the admin,
zones, locations, tax classes, checkout, etc. etc. it is not there.

If someone could tell me where to find this ghost tax rate 23,22 percent !!

You need to change Tax Rates inside your Tax class:
Go to Admin-System-Localization-Tax clases click to edit Tax Class. Then click on Rates Tab. Find needed rate and click edit button Also You might want to disable Display Prices With Tax setting. you can find it in Admin-System-Settings-Checkout Tab

I tried all that 10 times at least. Tried all possible configurations there,
but without any change, it will always be 23,22 percent.
This must be a bug. I am using 0.9.1

I am suffering from a fixed Tax Rate of 23,22 percent inside AbanteCart.
I tried everything in the admin to find this rate and also tried to nullify it
without success !

If I enter a new product in AbanteCart and give it a price of 100 euro
then it shows up in the storefront with a price 76,78 euro
This is clearly a tax rate of 23,22 percent !

No matter what I change in the Admin it will always be 76,78 euro.
Where can I find this 23,22 percent tax rate ?
Is it hardcoded somewhere ? Please help!

What exactly you want to change some footer text or key?

It is not that.
It is that: 1. text_footer, 2. text_footer_left and 3. text_footer_right
are all 3 inside admin/controller/common/footer.php

Then if you go to the admin, only text_footer and text_footer_left show up as editable
but not the third one text_footer_right. So it is a logically thought where to find
text_footer_right in the Admin just like the other two. But it is not there in the Admin.
It looks to me that text_footer_right is somewhere hardcoded in abantecart

I am bumping this key_footer_right post for more interest,
no answer so far, anyone ?

Yup, china is going to ban windows 8.1 and I don´t blame them.
Expensive + vendor lock ins + being depended on MS updates and policy.
Windows 9 is already announced, yeah right, windows 10, 11, anyone ?
For me windows 7 is the last windows and will make me going
until 2020. Gives me more than enough time to migrate to Linux Mint.

AbanteCart backs up dynamic data. Code can be moved with simple FTP or SFTP.
You can restore your back up on your new moved to location.

Ok thanks now it makes sense. Will try this out on a test server.

FYI. I hope we will be able to finish cloud backup in the next release. This will simplify things.

I don't agree that a cloud will simplify things. Clouds are in the news lately about data owner rights.
Bad example is MicroSoft promising data safety in European clouds which turned out not to be true.
American companies like microsoft who setup clouds in Europe still fall under American (read nsa) jurisdiction. Now more and more companies are looking for cloud solutions to keep
data owner rights out of nsa peeking and poking.
A good guide about how to transfer your webshop to another host will also simplify things.

text_footer
text_footer_left

But where is the key text_footer_right ?
Like the other two keys, text_footer_right sure does exist
inside admin/controller/common/footer.php
but it does not show up inside the Admin ?

abantecart can do only backup of data.
For moving to another host you should do full database backup. Easiest way to do this via hosting provider CPanel or phpmyadmin.

So then, what is the use of making only a backup of data, (inside the admin)
if you can not use this backup for moving your web shop
to another host ? Same question for dump.sql,
what do we do with it ?

I have this error coming back every day:
Error! Default language with code "de" is not available or disabled.
Loading Deutsch language to keep system operating.
Check your settings for default language.

In System => Settings => Details I have set:
Storefront Language = Deutsch
Administration Language = Deutsch
Autotranslate Status = ON
Source language for translation = English
Override if source language text was changed = OFF

In System => Localization => Languages I have set:
Español     es   3   ON
English      en   2   ON
Deutsch     de   1   ON

So as far as I can see it configurations and settings are ok
but still this error comes back everyday

Hi,
Is there a form generator as editable block or template inside abantecart ?
I mean if a customer looks for a product but can not find it in the shop
it would be nice if the customer could fill in a form with a product request.
Same for a Contact Submission Form for asking special requests.
