In the scenario of zip based import, this will now require to follow naming convention for files/folders and will be a lot to handle on error side.
Sound like a lot of work with ton of support and lack of reward.

I am not sure this is true. Wouldn't you just add another step to adding resources to product? If adding an Image resource, and the file type is a ZIP, extract it and then attach the component images to the product.

That requires setting up a whole file, etc...
I get resources from my product vendors in ZIP files. Being able to upload the ZIP file in one action would save time from having to extract the files manually and then upload them to AbanteCart.

1. Can you elaborate what the troubles might be? For example I can think of "what happens if there are folders inside of the ZIP"? I'd say we should import files in any subfolders. Ignore any unsupported or non-matching file types. e.g. if uploading a ZIP of images to the PDF section, ignore all files.
2. What kind of server configuration? I can help write the documentation.

I am thinking that you could add the "chain link" icon where the "1" is in the first attachment to manage the links of products to the resource. Clicking on that link would show a field similar to the Related Products box, where a product could be added to the collection.

The Resources would then be linked on the respective Products on the Media tab just as they are now.

This is essentially working in the other direction as adding Resources now. Instead of adding resources to products, you can add products to resources.

Where are your servers physically located?

I am in contact with the developer of the extension about Fast Checkout. They are working on a fix for Fast Checkout but it likely won't be available until the end of this month the earliest.

This should become a setting, to make Search by model and Search by description default to on or off, in the Admin Console.

It would be really nice to be able to associate a resource such as an image, to one or more many products via the Media Manager.

It would be very helpful to upload a ZIP file with resources (e.g. PDF, images, etc...) and have AbanteCart automatically unzip the file and add the individual files to the product.

Pete v1.1.7 was released 24 September 2013, which was almost 10 years ago. You should seriously consider upgrading to 1.2.16 since, as you have pointed out, your web host will soon disable the mysql extension and then your site will be dead.

That's a difficult question to answer, since the "speed" of a web site is dependent on many factors, most of which are out of the control of AbanteCart. My suggestion would be to install AbanteCart on a test server and try it.

I visited your site, it wasn't that slow for me. I had to wait a bit for a few pages, but it was otherwise pretty snappy, and I am in the US.

You'd have to modify the PHP code directly, or you can use this extension: https://marketplace.abantecart.com/whitelabel?keyword=whitelabel. Although I did not have a good experience with the developer, so purchase at your own risk.

The idea is you can look through the Language Definitions in Admin Console > System > Localization > Language Definitions and make your translations there. Most (not all) localized strings can be found there.
