General Support / Moved Abante cart to root folder

Hi,

We moved our Abantecart software from sub folder e.g. www.abcd.com/shop to www.abcd.com

1. In the marketplace, how do we change our registered domain and to remove the sub folder? there is no edit feature.

2. We believe this is causing problems when we are trying to install purchased extensions as the Abante cart licensing is pointing to www.abcd.com/shop which is no longer valid.

Please advise.

To make Abante cart marketplace more successful and easier to use which in return will sell more extensions, I would suggest the following feature enhancements:

1. Currently, when you go to marketplace, it provides you a history of all the extensions you downloaded. The free ones vs. purchased ones. I would suggest we should have two sections. In one section we list all purchased extensions separate from free one. This will give buyer quick access to extensions they bought.

2. Inside the marketplace provide which extensions have expired support, and provide one click to add to purchase extended support and to obtain updated releases. Right now, you can't do that, and I have already posted a bug in the marketplace where users can not just buy extended support separately.

3. Also, inside the two sections. alphabetically sort extensions purchased or tried out by users. NOT sorted by date. Thsi creates a problem.

Extension Support / You can't just buy extended support

Hi,

This issue has been there for years, and no one is solving it.

1. If you only want to buy extended support for extensions you bought before and to get new upgrades, the marketplace system forces you to buy the whole package all over again.

2. If you just select extended support option, you cannot check out.

Can someone fix this?

I would like to help Abantecart development community along with 2 of my programmers that I have hired to support Abantecart for our businesses (as I love Abantecart) and to figure out a good solution in relevance to Extension development and the Market Place.

@Ali Arslan - is One of my programmers currently discussing some technical matters with you in a different thread.

I have pointed out this before as the developers releases new versions of Abantecart, we currently have no mechanism in place to verify what extensions will continue to work, what will need an update from the extension developers and so on not until upgrade is done. On top there is no proper mechanism in place to get the updated version extension version from the extension developer besides re buy the extension all over again? may be I am wrong but this is what I am seeing for extensions I have purchased previously. No upgrade option available.

It appears the extension developers and code developers doesn't have a common discussion group where a co-ordination is happening between developers/Extension developers and where most popular extensions are first updated before the release of the new Abantecart code gets released to the public.

We also need a feature while doing software update where the abantecart notifies admin what extensions will no longer will remain compatible if they upgrade to new release prior to doing the upgrade.

Furthermore, we have dead, and really old extensions still in market place and they need to be removed.

Based on my experience working with few extension developers, the support is not top notch. You get piece part responses and very vague replies when you run into issues.

OUR GOALS

1. How do we establish a proper synergy between extension developers and core code developers?
2. How do we make extension developers accountable to provide proper support?
3. How do we automate extension update process more cleaner for the users.

Above are just suggestions not a criticism towards anyone.

Hi,

I am experiencing all kinds of error messages with the new versions of Abante cart such 1.4.1. and 1.4.2.

1. Issue one, I successfully updated Abante cart to 1.4.2 but when you log into the admin panel at the bottom it still says 1.4.1. Not sure why.

2. Now when I try to create a category, I am getting following error message. I have 4 Abante cart installed under 2 domains and each giving various error log messages.

Hi,

I bought this web site theme called Marceto

The developer @natani claims Abante Cart does support any Video uploads and play. Which is not true to my knowledge.

His reply, "AbanteCart does not have a feature to display uploaded video files because most browsers only support a few video formats."

This makes no sense to me.

Any suggestions?

The developer doesn't seem to provide detailed answers. Its very difficult to get detailed answers out of him.

When you create a Google Analytics account, Google seems to be assigning two different account Id's.

From the image enclosed, can someone tell me which account number to use with AbanteCart Cart?

"or" are you suppose to use Measurement ID: G-MQxxxxxx

Hi,

Is there anyone in the community ever got V2 or V3 CAPTACHA to work properly?

I have given up.

I have tried every suggestion suggested by "Basara" and others but nothing makes it to work.

I would be interested in hearing from someone who has it working with AbanteCart core v.1.3.4

Hi,

We have to recently change VPS servers so we copied over AbanteCart cart Shop files, databases etc. to the new server but now the shop is not loading anymore.

We used WHM server copy feature which creates an exact replica of old cart on the new server along with databases etc. Checked everything and all files are there.

The only thing has changed its the new server IP address is different then the old server IP address.

Domain is pointing to the new server.

PHP 8.1 is enabled.

Will this require /System/config.php file to be update with some new values?? If yes, what needs to be changed?

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this problem?

I can't seem to get reCAPTCHA V3 feature to work.

1. Under Admin - "General I have V3 enabled. See screen shots
2. I created fresh "Site" and "Secret" keys by deleting the old account and creating a new one. (See screen shots of Google.

Support / No option to upgrade to Version 1.3.4

Hi,

I am currently at version 1.3.3 and I want to upgrade to version 1.3.4 via Abantecart admin panel.

I have not received any messages that an upgrade is available.

I went to extensions sections to see if I can do the network install upgrade using extension key but I don't have the key.

Can someone give me the v 1.3.4 installation key?

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to setup Options settings where the "Main Product Price" will change based on what option has been selected by the buyer and still applies the discount?

It appears Abantecart doesn't have such a feature. See screen shot below. The only thing we can do set price/% increase decrease based on option selected by the buyer.

Is there anyway we can do what i am showing below?

Hi,

I am wondering if there is way to offer whole sellers different pricing compare to retail customers?

1. is there way we can mark certain customers as whole sellers inside the system?

2. Next when they buy something, they get a discounted price?

I know one way to accomplish this is by creating a special coupon discount for whole seller but wondering if there any extensions available to support whole sellers or any other way to provide discount price to whole sellers or tier pricing.

Did a Fresh install of version 1.3.2, when try to connect to the market place from extensions section, getting following error message.

I can log into market place directly without a problem.

If someone remove an old store and install a new store will the extensions purchased under old store will can be installed under the new store?

Also when I am trying to connect my store to market place I am getting this error message, even though I can directly log into the market place account.

Version 1.3.3

I have programmed the correct keys Google reCAPTCHA Site Key but I am getting the following error message at the store front.

Any ideas what causing this?
