Title: New Product Badge

So I can't find anything about this in the forums. I know in the images it has a offer badge, new badge, and a sale badge.
I know the sales badge automatically works when you run a promotion. I see in the code that when a product is new its supposed to call the new badge image. however when a new product is made it doesn't show up. does anyone know how to fix this? i know there a a extension for this issue but I don't see why pay $25 for something that is already in place.

Can you provide some example of screenshot? Sale will show up if conditions are set correctly. I have not come across of the issue you explain.

New Products show up in the New Products module, not necessarily with a "New" badge on them...but that would be a cool feature.
