I have fixed the second link in the previous post.  apologies.

As to the attributes used for different versions or different presentations. eg.  if you offer a document  in word and PDF,  you could add the two DIFFERENT attributes for the customer to select which one.   Or perhaps you have a version 1 and a version 2 of something.   Attributes are for a choice of different types of downloads of the same  product.

I hear your viewpoint,  but let's redo your math a bit.  Overall averages of the extensions in the marketplace is about $30.  some more,  some less,  but let's talk averages.   So  12 months of updates and support would be $10 for that $30 avg extensions.   That is less than $1/mo.   Even if we multiply by your 15 extensions  that's $15/mo.   So give up a couple of StarBucks coffees for the month?  Bet you tip your uber driver about that for delivery (most folks do.

And extensions are optional for your cart.  AbanteCart core  is pretty robust right from the start. But Admins who are code challenged and want or need something special for their store have the option to buy an extension  or build one,  or figure out how to maximize the core store.  Heated seats on a BMW are options too, but pretty nice to have in the frozen north!.

BTW,  you may not be aware that AbanteCart core devs get 25% of the fees in the MarketPlace.  You know they provide a great open source cart free of charge,  but they have ongoing costs like all of us.  So when you buy an extension or extended support you are contributing to the cart longevity also.

Everchanging,   I will let the AbanteCart devs answer most of your concerns.   But let me clear up the time frame.   The ORIGINAL buy allows for updates and support  for 120 days (4 months).   You can extend that to a year (twelve months) at purchase time. 

If you want continuing updates  you can renew your updates and support for a year (twelve months) at a time.

The actual time should relieve you a bit.

When you buy a vehicle you need to supply it with fuel, oil , new tires on occasion etc.  You can't say to the vehicle maker  I bought your car you need to keep it running.

Let me just add from an extensions provider side,  it takes times and effort to maintain extensions to continue working for each of the AbanteCart version updates.  Sometimes with the change  it takes almost as much time to update an extension as it did to write it originally.  So for many years,  extension providers get paid once and provide free updates several times a year,  in our case for 7 years for some of them.   IMO  that is one of the reasons AbanteCart lags behind other carts in extensions and templates. 

I am sure AbanteCart Devs will expand on why they moved to this model.

You have a percentage discount of 10 enabled.
Usually on the free shipping  the DISCOUNT field is empty  and Total amount is the dollar figure where free shipping kicks in. (can ge zero)
Customer needs to apply the coupon code for the free shipping to appear.
Try leaving the Discount field empty
And if you have a threshold of order total before they get free shipping input that in the total amount.
I’ve included a screen shot of a coupon that works.

Wow,  open source (free) great cart.   Maybe the 22 views  didn't know the answer.   There is even SEARCH on the forum, and I know there are a lot of answers to this.

AND, there is a GREAT manual (see the link at the very top of this page that answers a great many of newbie questions.

Just find the block in the footer area and disable.   Depending on how much you changed in your site,  you may need to adjust EACH page.

Sometimes,  help is within your control  ;),  learn about the tools that are already here to assist you and you won't have to wait on others to have time or knowledge to help.

trying clearing your cache,  both  in your browser and something in your admin page  with cntl+F5

Abantecart has a great caching system to deliver sites to your customers,  the downside is when Admin doing edits you need to force the cache clearing to see your changes.

On a new install of v 1.3.0,   with the testing site NEVER having been connected to the MarketPlace
I am wondering why the warning  for Card Connect shows up on the extensions list.

General Support / retina images handling between v 1.2.0 and 1.2.16

I updated a new client site from a 1.2.0 version established in 2014 and never touched by the client.  The resource images were retina,  with high dpi.   His images need lots of detail in them and with the high dpi  they did.  It seems in 1.2.0  the resources image was used and scaled to the size to be displayed in various places with the cart.

How 1.2.16 handles retina is much different it seems.   The Resource image is resized in the thumbnails.  Then when the retina option in settings is enabled,  the thumbnail  is adding the 2x. 

Yes I have cleared cache etc.  It all looks great on non - retina screen.  Looks great on emulated retina screen.   Client says it look really bad on his Apple and his iPhone.
Is adamant that the image needs to be the resource image as in 1.2.0. 

Have I missed some setting?   Any suggestion as how to manage the originating images? Site is using php 7.3 currently with the AbanteCart 1.2.16?
