Built-in Features / Global attribute

In my old version I was able to make a global attribute which allowed my customer to upload a picture to me. I have since done a fresh install of version 1.2.1 and am rebuilding my website, however I cannot find this option when making a new global attribute. (I believe in the old version it was called "file". Can you please tell me if I am just not seeing it, or do we now have to use an extension for this?

Customization help / Font Colors in HTML blocks

I recently deleted my old Abante Cart and did a fresh install of 1.2.1 . I love the new fresh look of this version. Please bear with me as I am relearning a few things.
my question for now is:
In the old version, when I created an HTML block I was able to change the color of the font. I am not finding this option now. I decided just to go with the "marker" option under "styles" to make it stand out with the yellow and even this does not change the color even though it shows the yellow  in the custom block content dialog box.
Any ideas?

I tried to upgrade from 1.1.9 to 1.2 and received this:"There has been a critical error processing your request."
now I cannot log into my admin and this error shows instead of my page.

Here is what I found in my error logs
[Wed Feb 04 13:50:03 2015] [error] [client 173.9.234.218] File does not exist: /home/artist34/public_html/404.shtml
[Wed Feb 04 13:50:03 2015] [error] [client 173.9.234.218] File does not exist: /home/artist34/public_html/favicon.ico

I am finding the file favicon.ico, but not the 404.shtml

Please help.

After upgrading to ver 1.1.8 everything looks fine on my website except that at the bottom it shows this error (see attached). I went to this line in my Cpanel and the lines read as:

if ( $this->has_extensions && $result = $this->extensions->isExtensionResource('T', $filename) ) {
               if ( is_file($file) ) {
                   $warning = new AWarning("Extension <b>".$result['extension']."</b> overrides core template with <b>".$filename."</b>" );

Im not sure what this is. Or what to do about it. Thanks in advance.

General Support / admin pages not loading

Hi. I've been ill for a while (So I have done nothing to change anything for about a month) and just got back onto my admin. I first went to messages and noticed I could not open my messages (no errors, just simply would not open when clicking on the message). then I tried to search for a product and after clicking go, it did not do anything. then I went to menu and noticed it said loading, but just stuck there (see attached). I have cleared my cache, closed and reopened my admin but still seems to be having issues. Any ideas?

I was doing some testing and noticed that if I sign in as a guest and do not select a shipping option I get the incorrect error of " Payment option not selected" When signing in as a returning user, I get "No shipping option selected" Which is correct.

Is there a way to eliminate the need for credit card if customer's balance is zero? For example: Client makes a purchase that is $10.00 and has a $10.00 coupon or Gift certificate, or for some reason has a credit on their account. I am finding that they are still required to put in their credit card information even with a zero balance in the shopping cart. I would like it to be that if balance is zero, they are not required to give credit card information. Is this possible?

Tips and Tricks / showing changes

I just thought I would throw this out there. I notice some users are not seeing changes after they have made them. I know in my case, I have to refresh (use the circular arrow on my browser's address bar) my storefront before I will see the change I have made because my computer caches the last viewed screen. Even if I have closed the storefront and re-opened it I still have to hit refresh. This may be the first thing to try if you do not see your change right away.

I made a listing block that I named "Products" to replace the Categories block on the home page. The reason was so that customers could see an image of each product category. The links above the image redirect to the category just fine, but I was wondering if there was a way to make each image redirect to the corresponding product page as well. right now if you click the image, it just redirects back to the home page and some of my customers have mentioned it would be nice to just click the image, not the underlined text link to get to the products.

Support / coupon removes sales tax

I was testing the coupon feature. I made a coupon for 17.00. I put in my own address which is state of Illinois. It showed the correct sales tax for my $16.00 product and total should have been 17.20 after tax. I applied coupon and it no longer shows the sales tax. It should have shown $16.00 plus sales tax $1.20 minus coupon for $17.00 total of $.20 still owed.

Support / Featured product aligned left

after upgrade to 1.1.6, I am finding my featured products are aligned to the left (see attachment). Can you please tell me where to find the code to correct this? thank you.
Just want to also say I am very happy with how the promotions work now with the upgrade. I can set prices for quantity orders and it looks and works great. Thanks for all your hard work!

I am still having an issue with upgrading to 1.1.6. I continue to get the error "Warning: Directory with extensions does not have write permission.". I do not have FTP capabilities at this time so I am trying to do this via the message sent, also tried downloading the upgrade package and uploading via extensions upload and still have same results. I'm not sure what file I need to change permissions on. I have tried all "extension" files. I see others have this issue. Please advise. Thanks so much.

I'm not sure what this means when I go to use the upgrade option in my message about upgrade to 1.1.6:

NOTE: If you plan to upgrade via admin, you need to replace below file before you can start upgrade. 
File to replace from upgrade package: public_html/admin/controller/pages/tool/package_installer.php

Where do I find the file to replace the original with?

I may have found a bug, or I am just not understanding how this works. I am trying to set up a quantity discount for mugs. I set it to 4 (I want customers to have a price of $14.00 per mug as opposed to $16.00 per mug if they buy a set of 4). When trying this, I get the $16.00 price for 1 mug, $14.00 price for 4 mugs, but I also get the $14.00 price for 3 mugs (I also tried other discount amounts and  other amounts in cart with same results.) Am I setting this up wrong or is it a bug? See screen shots

You stated that in version 1.1.5 there will be a way for my customers to upload a picture to me with their order. I am very confused on where I find this. Is this an extension that I need to purchase? Is it code I need to add? Do I have to change to the default HTML5 template (Which I would rather not do at this time, but will if I have to).  I have version 1.1.5 but am still using default template. Thanks in advance.

ever since I upgraded to new version, the text in my custom block that shows my products is aligned to the right. I cannot seem to find where to change this.

I clicked on the link to upgrade to 1.1.5 and did nothing else and all I see now is this error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

I use authorize.net and they offer a seal for adding to the website. I would like to use this seal (They provided the HTML code), but am unsure how to add it to my site. I tried entering the code  (Pasted it) into an html block, but I only get the actual code itself showing on the page. Do I need to place this into a file instead? I would like to place the seal both on my checkout page and on the home page.
This is the code they give me for my site:

Opinions / option modifier showing

I really love and appreciate this product. I do have one suggestion though:
when adding an option with a price modifier (I sell mugs, they can choose from an 11 oz (10.00) or 15 oz(15.00)). I have set this as an option with the 15 oz having a dollar modifier of $5.00. when I test this, it shows the checkbox options of :

11 oz.
15 oz. 5.00

to me, if I were the customer, this would look as if the 15 oz mug is being sold for  $5.00.

everything works correctly at the cart and checkout and has the correct price, which is great, but I wonder if there is a way to hide the modifier amount from the customer so that it would only show as:

11 oz.
15 oz.
