Greetings,

Where do I edit the Contact Us PAGE (not the Contact us info on the footer).  The Contact Us page has a Contact Form built in.  I would like to update/add some content on this page - where do I find it to edit?

I understand the Canada Post Shipping Extension is not working with the latest AbanteCart.

The Shipping Option seems to be the most problematic part of setting up AbanteCart Cart.  I am wondering the following:

1.  Is there is a way to allow an order to process without adding shipping costs and then after order is made a simple way to advise the buyer of what the acutal shipping costs will be prior to sending the order; and
2.   the above Without having the customer re-send their payment.

3.  Instead of saying Free Shipping (or I am noting that the Flat Rate $2.00 always appears right now in my cart) is there a way to say Shipping Calculated on Order Completion?  Or something like that.

3.   I understand there is a way to edit a customer shopping cart for out of stock items etc. prior to sending and accepting payment I assume; and does this include being able to alter the shipping charges?

4.  I have PayPal Express as the payment Gateway.  Is it possible to have PayPay Calculate the actual shipping?

Feeling disillusioned and unable to proceed with my store.

Hello and thanks for the reply.

1.  In answer to your question I have AbanteCart 1.2.14  installed

2.  In the Dashboard under shipping you indicate "Canada Post Integration" is available for $30.  Is this NOT the case???  When would I be able ti use the Canada Post extension?  Makes sense I would use it as I am in Canada and that is the most easily shipping method. 

3.  SOUNDS like your Canada Post extension works MOSTLY on weight base only??  But dimensions could be added for more accuracies in some cases.

4.  Yes, a test site on your server would likely be good.  If you can e-mail the link ro tell me how that works - great!

Greetings!  I am planning to install the Canada Post Shipping Platform BUT before I do - please advise me on the following:

1.  I understand I must enter weight, width, height, depth for each product to get accurate shipping.  Is that correct?

2.  My main question is:  How will the Shipping Platform calculate the shipping for multiple items going out in one order?

3.  Is the platform "smart enough" to combine the weight of 3 or 4 items and also then take into consideration the largest dimensions so that the size of the parcel will be adequately accounted for?

4.  Please advice on any other relevant items that must be known to understand how this shipping platform will accurately calculate the shipping costs.

Really looking forward to finding this out so I can move forward with my on-line store.

Tonight the currencies are showing correctly as to exchange!! USD is miraculously set to 0.74186176 instead of  0.03192756 as previously.  I am happy and will keep checking it to make sure it is stable.  I feel I know what the issue was related to though.  Canadian currency had been shown as CAN and not CAD previously and it may have taken a short itme to update. 

Thanks for your time. Without the forum I likely would not have been able to fix issues.

Yes - I have purchased an order on the site and gone to the check out page - no color change.

I changed the hex code in the PayPal Express Page re: background for checkout
Using  #9933cc 
It saves in it's block
When I save the whole page on that extension the # sign is removed and only 9933cc is shown.
There is NO Change to any colour on the check out page
What shall I try?

Even though no space and yes PayPal configured for Canadian - your post saved me!  I looked at what you said carefully and compared it to the Currency Settings - somehow I had CAN and NOT CAD !!  I never would have found this without you response.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I tested the check out in Canadian and it now works.

However, I did not notice this symantic type error and it would be good to get it fixed.  Under the drop down showing how price is determined - in the tax portion it says GST &amp PST - how to get rid of the "amp".  Please see attached screen shot.

Support / Auto Currency Updater Configured Incorrectly

My Default Currency is Canadian and Value is set at 1.000

I chose to USD, Euro and Pound Sterling as well as CAD for the store; and I searched the current rates and put those correct amounts into the Value area.   I tested the cart and the exchange rates were working perfectly.   Then I set the Currency Updater to Auto Update for future use.

Now - when I buy 2 items worth Canadian $96.85 which is the correct price in Default.  It shows as $3.47 USD - which is TOTALLY WRONG! It should be something like $71.96.  This is because the Auto Updater changed the USD Value to 0.03192756 as of April 24.  This is incorrect.  The other currencies -  Euro and Pound Sterling - are also now updated incorrectly.

What has happended?  Did I configure something incorrectly?   I cannot trust to use the Auto Currency Updater as it is; and will have to manually update currencies or else only use the Default.

I successfully installed the PayPal Express Payment Gateway and the API tests were good.

I have tried checking out in USD, Euro and Pound Sterling and all work. 

However, when I try to check out with Canadian Dollars (which is my default currency and also the currency accepted by my PayPal account) I cannot check out.  I get an error message instead of the PayPal check out Page: "PayPal Express Checkout Error.  Error has occured during request. Please try again later."

The Admin Logs show 2 different error messages - here is the examples:

1.   2019-04-19 5:38:28 - App Warning: AbanteCart core v.1.2.14 PayPal Express Checkout Error: Security header is not valid. Test mode = 1. in /home/amet2087/public_html/dir/extensions/default_pp_express/admin/controller/responses/extension/default_pp_express.php on line 85
 
2.  2019-04-20 4:10:26 - App Warning: AbanteCart core v.1.2.14 PayPal Express Checkout Error: Receiving country does not support the transaction currency.. Test mode = 0. in /home/amet2087/public_html/dir/extensions/default_pp_express/core/default_pp_express.php on line 320

PayPal has been working with me on this issue and here is the latest response - which asks that Abantecart get involved:

"I have good news and bad news.

Good News! I was able to perform 2 successful transactions with my personal account, 1 for $6 USD and one for $6 CAD, neither were stopped.  I will reverse these transactions out of your account.

Bad news, I have no idea why your cart is not allowing CAD transactions on the back end.

Would you be willing or able to add AbanteCart's Customer service as an email address into this ticket or potentially reach out to them and see why that currency would not be able to be used for some reason? There is not a reason I can find on the PayPal end."

1.  What is your webhost? Hostpapa
2.  what is server OS (operation system) - I don't know, how can I find out
3.  php version -  I don't know, how can I find out
