Hi!
I created a tax rule that reflects a law in my country and is supposed to be assigned to ALL my catalogue.
As a test and as customer I tried to buy a product that has this tax rule assigned (which is a percentage), but the tax is not shown or calculated at any point in the Cart. The total it gives the cart gives me is the same price of the product.
Where/How can I fix this?
Thanks!

Hello.
1. check that product in cart is in your Tax Class
2. makse sure customer's adress within Location you set in the your Tax rates http://docs.abantecart.com/pages/localization/locations_and_taxes/add_rates.html

Thank you!
I have the Tax Class created with this settings:
- Tax Class Title: IMPUESTO
- Description visible to customers: Impuesto a las ventas del 20%
- Location: (my country)
- Location Zone: Check on "all location zones"
- Description to customers: Impuesto a las ventas
- Tax Rate: Percent (%), 20
- Apply Tax if: > to 0
- Tax Exempt Groups. -none-
- Priority: 1
I also checked that the product in my test has this class variable selected:
"Tax Class": IMPUESTO
But although it seems to be correct and I can complete the order, it doesn´t mentions nor calculates the tax.
Is there another different setting to be made? Or is maybe something wrong in the settings I described?
Thanks!
Thanks!

There are things you miss - customer address (Country/State should be within Location you set in Tax Rate)
and double check that in your default Customer Group Tax Exempt is OFF (Admin > Sales > Customer Groups)

Thanks!
I checked all of it and the problem was that the Location Zones were not defined. Once I defined them, the checkout calculated it at checkout but not the way it was supposed to.
I mean in my country all receipts work a bit different. If I put x price for a product (as is shown in the product page), that's is supposed the final price including taxes --I mean the receipt is supposed to show three things:
1- The price without the tax
2- The tax (20%)
3- The total that is the sum of 1&2
For example if the description page says that the price is $120, then at checkout and later in the receipt it should be described as:
Subtotal=100
Tax=20
Total=120
But AbanteCart applies the tax after what should be considered as the total price and obviously that is not what we need in our country.
Is there a way to work around this?
Thanks!

Hello.
In AbanteCart you have an option to display all prices with Tax included. Go Admin > System > Settings > Checkout to enable this.
Take a note when new customer visit your site who know what is customer address so initially Price inlude tax based on your Store address (Country/State)
