Dear Abantecart,

I've been constantly following Abantecart development's.

I believe, It would be great and it's high time you guys develop new Templates (for future releases) couple of new templates. other than just one.

Which I believe would indeed make this package all the more better

Currently AbanteCart does allows to setup multiple stores, and also assign a domain or sub-domain to it.
And the management of the new cart is being or need to be done through the same login/credential on the same interface for admin.

Is there a way, setup can be done, where in each store can be individually managed. on the same admin interface.
Without being able to see other stores contents.

or any future plans for such an implementation?

Here is what i want to know.

1. Abantecart is setup and running, with products and so on.
2. If a store owner has a product "XYZ" however, he has it hosted on another store (ecommerce platform)
3. If he wants to be able to redirect any user who selects (add to cart) to that third party store/link (Pure http redirect only)

Would it be possible? or any way out or in

I believe, the area circled on product pages. should be available by default to be utilized for any or some features.

that's real estate for many store owners. (which they could use for marketing, so users do not scroll down) and get a quick view. without reading description

I have on previous occasion shared this issue. however was never able to pinpoint myself on how this happened.

1. Product Created with Value (xxxx.xx) turns to (xx.xx) or   value (xxxx.xx) turns to (x.xx).
2. What would happen is everytime a product was created, sometime later when going about with usual work and editing and updating, even when the price / cost is not updated or edited. (the value changes on its own) to a smaller digit value.


Finally if am not wrong, i found how it was happening. although on previous occasions on other posts. i mentioned this. i never knew why or how it happened. here is when it happens.

1. Product created, with all required information including cost and price and so on.
2. Product displays fine.
3. Edit Product (for example lets say description of the product) and save the changes
4. Products description is updated. and a message displayed success message on top.
5. (You are still on the edit option) now refresh the page. (The value in price and cost text box has changed on its own)

hope this can be fixed. or some light shed on this issue

SEO does not work on Sub Categories?

Whenever i add a product and its price and cost. i appear to face a strange problem.

1. Abantecart version 1.0.2
2. Currency (New i created / INR / Indian Rupee / Decimal 2 and Symbol to left Rs )  This is the only currency rest all is deleted.


While adding product, the cost and price shown in the textbox by default is  0.00

However when i type price in the textbox ( 0_.00 ) the cursor jumps to after typing in that number (0X.00_)

Then. i hve to bring the cursor back to where i want to type the remaining number.. tedious. for sure.

Any advice? could it be something else or what? also i noticed with this currency whenever i had a amount such as (22450.00) automatically when first order is placed the amount turned to (22.00)

I believe by default atleast, one of the Indian payment gateway should be integrated with. a default extension for.

Payment gateways which are widely used across india. namely.

CCAVENUE, BillDesk & EBS

Why i suggest this is, bcuz most Indian merchants prefer to use indian payment gateways not just for their low fee but also for their integration with all banks, and allmost most Payment methods for the local or National Banks here.

Just a feedback from my side..... would like to hear the abante cart teams opinions on this

Was wondering, how about also making the cart solution default pack have ability to Easily integrated with CDN's or use Amazon S3 or such services.

Also the ability to use Memcached?

And finally, the support for MySQL DB Replication, which could allow store owners to spread their database across several servers for optimized and load balanced environments.

Just a thought, that these features and the ability to control them through Admin control panel would be useful.

Do share your thoughts on this

Today i have been testing Payment modules, and i just thought it would be a good feature to have by default.

That is It would be great, to have a Payment related report. Specially concerning. The reason for a Abandoned Order.


And also report, on all payments, that has been returned by gateway unsuccessful  to the store.

Where in, in the case that for a certain reason if Payments of a certain Payment gateway keeps failing, if the reason is displayed.

Although the number of Abondoned order would increase, it would be easier to figure out the source of the problem for Store owners and admins.

I dont know if i have missed this, anywhere if the feature exists already.

But ex: i have set payment status's under moneybookers extension config. however nowhere to be seen (updates)

Tried the SEO URL Option so noticed few things which i was wondering and had some doubts about. please do clarify my doubts.

And also haven't heard from you guys something surely is keeping you guys busy !


1. when using SEO URL option for Root Categories it works fine   example.com/category/
2. when using sub category under a root category it displays this way   example.com/index.php?rt=product/category&path=8_30
3. When view products from a root category    example.com/category/?product_id=2
4. when viewing product  from under sub category   example.com/index.php?rt=product/product&path=8_30&product_id=2

Is this supposed to be like that??

Also when viewing product categories and brands

example.com/xyzbrand
example.com/pqrcategory

would it be more seo friendly to use

example.com/brand/xyz
example.com/category/pqr
example.com/product/category/product name

As we are running tests, on d cart we noticed this yesterday and today as well. we have added an additional currency INR. and that is the default currency and all other currencies have been disabled.

When a product is added with a price of "6000" after few hours Not sure how many hours, when we check the price of that product turns to "6" ...

Any advice how we can troubleshoot this?

Also when will 0.9.2 version be released?

After seeing and using this cart system, we have been wondering if a more stable version would be out soon, as we would like to go live with our project soon ... any info would be most welcome ;-)

Dear Team,

Is there any possibility of this happening ?

1. A Customer adds one or few products to the cart.
2. Heads on to checkout and selects payment methods on the payment gateway
3. And leaves without completing the payment.

Will there be any feature in the next release, that will allow the admin's to set a predefined duration after which an alert email will be sent to such customers, with an alert stating ....

"Dear Customer, there are some items in your cart waiting for your attention at AbanteCart.com"
and the body of the email should contain some latest products list or so on.

A quick query, i am not sure if this exist, if this does not exist it would make a good feature.

Does the payment modules extensions support real time update of the payments status?

For example, if user A buys products makes the payment thru Payment Gateway xYz, and there is a provision from the payment gateway to use webservices either to call or recieve, the status of the payments.

I think there should be in the future release, a new extension or feature covering the ability for owners of store to.

Allow integrating the ability to send SMS to their users, from the store based on the activities or on predefined actions.

Possible methods that can be incorporated are, by calling Web based API's or so from providers of SMSC/SMPP access.

or even writing a SMPP class to take care of the need, to communicate using SMPP protocol with the SMS providers.

Or ability to integrate with third party providers, such as "routesms.com" or other providers of SMS features.
