There is no issue of  home button link on Breadcrumbs. It is working perfactly.

Check your Store URL.
go to System > Settings > Details > Store URL

Go to System > Settings > General

Check your input in following fields:

Number of Items In Bestseller Block:   
Number of Items In Featured Block:   
Number of Items In Latest Block:   
Number of Items In Special Block:

Change it as per your requirement.
