I have my store setup in a subfolder, like mydomain.com/store

I have an htaccess file in mydomain.com that includes code to force https and www use.

My problem is that the abante htaccess file stored in my /store subfolder overrides this because I have SEO on. So if a person types url mydomain.com/store, browser takes person to mydomain.com/store (no www and no https). When this happens, some of the abante icons don't display.

If person types mydomain.com/anyotherfolder it will direct to https://www.mydomain.com/anyotherforlder.

I have tried a few things to correct this but no success. I either break the SEO ulrs or worse.

I know that when I delete the htaccess file under /store, then the url will redirect with the https and www

Anyone know what code to add so that I can have https, www, and SEO urls?

I decided to see what "Browser Console" was in Firefox and got two warnings on my abante installation. Both warnings show up on all the pages I tested (store side - up to checkout page). No clue what they mean or why they exist, HOWEVER, when I looked more closely, I noticed that there is a request made that includes the name of my admin folder. Anyone with a little bit of knowledge about abante cart can use this to find the admin page thus defeating the purpose of having a 'changed' admin page address.

Please look at attachment. Blotted out lines are where my admin folder name is listed. The line that displays this and then causes the warning is for whatever reason a recurring one. That is the request is made every so many minutes.

Any thoughts on how to solve this would be appreciated.

I can't seem to remember how to set up ad tracking in abante. I have gone through so many e-commerce softwares that I may be confusing capabilities...

I know how to use a graphic banner and give it a link, but how to I create a special link with a tracking number so that I can monitor ad campaigns from different websites?

Just upgraded a clone of my life store to 1.2.13 and got two glitches:

1. My front main rotating banner no longer displays

2. The 'super menu' extension which I used to replace the default navigation menu is also gone.

Error log is empty and system check reports no issues.

Any thoughts?

I have been tweaking the top cart on the top header line and have two cosmetic issues I couldn't figure how to fix.

1. When I hover over the cart and I get the drop down showing cart contents, the box that appears is larger than then size of the original cart area and is shifted to the left, leaving the 'pointy arrow' pointing outside the cart box. See image.
-- Where do I control the width of the drop down box or the cart box?

2. The other issue I would like to fix is: if you look really close at the height of the 'search' box and the 'cart' box displayed on the top header, you will notice that the cart box is slightly bigger than the search box.
-- Where do I control the height of both the search box and the cart box?

Looked and looked around but the code lines I could not find...

I'm running the default abante theme and when I test my site on Firefox's Responsive Design Mode, I notice that the product image does not resize to fit the mobile screen. See first image.

Is this normal behavior of default theme or a glitch on my side?

How can it be fixed?

Also, I have an image on my home page as part of the welcoming message. This image is not responsive. See second image.
How can I make it responsive?

I'm already aware of two little display glitches but haven't figured out how to solve them yet. One is with how abantecart aligns my 'related products' and the other one is with the number of content page links I have on my footer.

Hi there,

There is one little display issue that looks not that good on my store site. The problem is caused by having too many 'content' page links. See photo.

Is there a way to customize the content block so I can make it look nicer? Like maybe 2 lines with 4 to 5 content links each? Or grouping links in columns under a common header?

In the process of testing and reviewing my site, I clicked on the 'related products' tag of various products and noticed that while some images and titles display ok, some don't. See images.

No clue what makes the difference. I tried changing the product name and image of the related product showing the problem to see if this would fix anything but it didn't.

Any thoughts?

Hi, I have implemented the suggested changes to modify the background color of product images and this is what I get (see image).

How would I go about adding some padding around the entire product image so that the background image shows all the way around it?

Hi there,

Getting ready to go live with my site and noticed that I have a few main folders that have permission 777. All files and folders within these main folders are also set to 777.

The main folders are

- resources
- image
- extensions
- downloads

Is this how it is supposed to be or should I change permissions to something else?

I have some free downloads that I would like to make available on my store. Right now the product and category page shows price as '$0.00' for these downloads

Would anyone know the coding required to change this to show 'Free' instead of '$0.00'? Care to share it?

Hi there, I have searched high and low trying to figure out where to delete the copyright symbol that Abantecart inserts with the name of my website on the footer... but no success...

Hi there,

I installed a cart on my local computer server and did all my work there. So far so good. I did a full backup - database and system files using AbanteCart admin options.

Then installed a fresh AbanteCart cart on my hosting computer and uploaded database. So far so good.

Now, I uploaded all system files that I backed up from my local server installation to my hosting company installation. Now I can't log in to the admin of my hosted admin page. I can't reset my password either. Error is as if I'm entering wrong username and password.

Here is the error text I get in the error log file:
