Hello, we are WHY2 the writers of the third party USPS extension that sells in the Market Place.
To set the record straight -  our extension works correctly,  but it needs to be configured correctly by the site admin.  Our manual has all the info to do that.

But this is the key to label printing.

– Commercial Base Pricing is a discounted rate offered to U.S. Postal Service (USPS) customers.
– You need to turn ON commercial rates if you want to create shipping label in order to get the same shipping rate.

Additionally,  we have an excellent support system for purchasers of our extensions,  but I just checked out tickets  and found Craig's account  but NO ticket was submitted.

However the extension is still active.  So Craig if you haven't gotten it to work yet,  read the manual (manual link is within your extension) or open a support ticket in your WHY2 account and we will assist you

Cheers,
The support team at WHY2

You control what is used in the order status.  Note that the payment method has it's own settings and controls the status used by that setting.   If you have the SAME setting in your payment method when a transaction is successful as the condition in your you download delivery your customer will have access once payment is recorded.  You just need to use the same status to get the results you want.

You can set the global default behavior for new orders in the settings menu:

Location: Go to System → Settings → Checkout.

Order Status Setting: Here you will find a setting labeled "Order Status" (usually set to Pending by default). This defines the status assigned when an order is first processed.

Payment Method Overrides: Note that many Payment Methods have their own internal settings. They may automatically set the status to something else (like "Processing" or "Complete") for successfully Authorized and Captured orders, bypassing the global default.

Here is how it works:
Activated: Select the event when the download will be activated. e.g. Immediately. Download is activated after order is placed, regardless of the order status.

If you set the Activated to on Order Status you can control when the download is available to your customer based on the status -  eg,  activated is set to on Order Status,  Order status is set to Completed -  once the order process set to Completed is attained by your customers action the file will be available for them.

Several of our clients are B2B and use the company name for reference. They are using Stripe 1.4.4 not are not seeing the business named included in the Stripe site info or the payment in passed back to the Order details.

According to Stripe docs -  How the business name is captured:

Payment Element / Checkout - If you're using Stripe's pre-built payment UI, you can enable the "name" field, which collects the customer's name (individual or business name)

API integration - When you create a customer via API, you can pass the name parameter, which accepts either a person's name or business name

We are seeking guidance on how we can get the business name passed when Stripe is the payment method used.

Can you please look into including Business name (and customer name) into your Stripe.   We would like both, if possible.

We look forward to your reply.
Lee

We did update Stripe to 1.4.4  on cart version 1.4.3,  and it solved some of the issues.  Still working on rather it is the client Stripe settings within Stripe account for validation or if we need to  interface with you about and API update. Will get back

NEXT question -  since you also have sent 1.4.4 PayPal notification out we did go ahead an update PayPal also,  be are seeing issues using it in 1.4.3 cart.  Can you confirm that it should work?  or do we need to roll back?  Seems there are significant coding changes in the 1.4.4 vs 1.4.3 and we wonder if that is part of the problem.

Additional question on PayPal ,  is the AbanteCart On boarding provisioned to allow for act on behalf to take payments via PayPal?
It use to require a PayPal Pro account to do so.

We are still on 1.4.3 AbanteCart -  should we update to stripe 1.4.4?

Also  have you tested Act on Behalf when using the new Stripe process?  One of our clients is have some difficulty with it.
It worked flawlessly prior to your  moving to Stripe AbanteCart connections

On the other hand, the USPS API offers more advanced features for complex shipping solutions, including bulk shipping, custom logistics, and enterprise-level integration. While both APIs are used for interacting with USPS services, the Web Tools API is simpler, while the USPS API is better suited for larger operations needing a more comprehensive shipping and logistics system.

We are WHY2 in the Market Place and have been using the latest USPS API for cart versions starting with 1.4.0 and forward.

Can you please explain what you are referring to "suited for larger operations needing a more comprehensive shipping and logistics system."  What do you think is missing?

Hello,  we are WHY2 in the MarketPlace and our USPS extension has been updated to the OAuth requirements since AbanteCart Verison 1.3.4.

You can check it out here:
https://marketplace.abantecart.com/usps_integration

And you can look thru our manual here:

https://why2central.net/docs/usps-overview/

and if I had that I would have provided it.  Here is what they said yesterday in a chat support:

And this is why I'm suggesting to reach out to AbanteCart. Because the account creation was made from their application. Not directly from Stripe, all tools that was used is also from the side of AbanteCart Which we don't have access to.

as for locating the created account by them which is blank/new, AbanteCart will have the right tools to locate this for you.

although the extension seem to setup,  within the Stripe account side NO new company was setup.  All was a huge fail.

this test was on a clean new install so there were no unknown issues from other extensions etc.

There should NOT be these ongoing issues with a payment process.  We understand why you moved to the Connect as it is beneficial to your business,  but it needs to work correctly for the users of AbanteCart.

Our fix for the moment for our clients it to turn OFF STRIPE and just use PayPal.

PS,  we provided you with Stripe info to fix previous issues on your side.  IMO it should NOT be our responsibility to spend our time and energies interacting with STRIPE to be able to provide you (AbanteCart) how to manager your Connect to work correctly.   Over the 15+ yrs we have interacted with AbanteCart we have provided a great deal of our time in supporting and improving AbanteCart.   And have been happy to contribute,  but you need to step up and work with STRIPE and get this working.

On the above existing account turning it off did nothing.

I repeat I strongly believe that the connect is still not configured correctly .  Here is my supporting argument for that.

Use an account that has NEVER had any Strip account,  I installed the Stipe (this is a 1.4.2.1 cart)  following the prompts within the extension.

I got the Connected to Stripe successfully (see screen shot)

Only Cards are selected within the extension page as the allow payment methods  -

I then went to test a purchase and you can see that the LINK and the BANK ACCOUNT are enabled.

Additionally, the extension did NOT add the business into my existing Stripe account  as I cannot find it within my account,  nor find the endpoint listed so don't ask for the account ID.

Apparently after spending a great deal of more time with Stripe support it is your ABANTECART CONNECT settings that is causing this result.

PS;  I see there is an API version update released Nov 17   Accounts v2 and Connect improvements: We've made several updates to the Accounts v2 API, including support for listing payment methods.   Since it is payment methods and inability to manage from the client side perhaps this would be a fix??

Yes  we have cleared cache and we have made NO change to the Stripe extension.

However I have a thought and questions:
She had a previous Stripe account prior to Stripe Connect -  is it possible there is something left over?

And when setting up Stripe Connect does your coding establish the endpoint URL and endpoint signing Secret?  Or does account holder need to establish those within their Stripe Account? If they still need to establish

I have not found adequate how to info in the AbanteCart.com website for this.  The instructions https://abantecart.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AD/pages/17170482/Stripe seem to relate to the non-connect .

As when we arrive at the developers > Webhooks,  there are selections to be made   between Your Account  and Connected and v2 Accounts -  which is correct for your connect extension?

Next do we select ALL events   or only Selected events?   if selected  which ones??

I have PMd you the info.

Which account ID are you asking for?

I contend it is YOU that does not understand,  nor following the steps as presented.
If you are logged into your MarketPlace account and go the the product you wish to extend support and click on the GET HELP

You will see the status of that previous purchase -  it will tell you if your support is expired date  and if you click on the extend support from WITHIN that page, it will then take you to the main product page  and with AUTOMATICALLY  add the extend support and the support ONLY fee.

armonecity - ALL extensions obtained from the MarketPlace rather they are free or have a fee are considered to be purchased.

Extensions that are provided as part of the core coding should be considered FREE, and they do not show up in the MarketPlace.

Your number 2-  I answered your other post and it is due to your not doing it correctly.

I do agree with you on number 3-  those who have a great number of extensions find it cumbersome to find them with all  a lot of looking.  The search button in the header only searches the extensions within the entire MarketPlace, so that is useless in finding an extension to click on the get help to get to the update support.  A search for the purchases by name would be a great assist IMO.
