Just a thought..I have 2 different types of items. I have a gift catalog with gift products and I also have oil paintings that I do. I wanted to keep them seperate, so I have a web page that is my main page (I make that with Web Easy). it contains 2 sides, one for gift catalog (this goes to my AbanteCart cart setup), one for my paintings(re-directs to my webeasy site). The customer chooses what to look at. I am thinking you could do the same sort of thing, only have 2 AbanteCart cart "stores" set up, one for regular customers , one for wholesalers. On your main page, have a link specifically for regular customers, and another link that says something like "Wholesalers click here". Each link would redirect to the correctly priced store. I believe you can clone your store for the 2nd one and only have to change the prices on your products in the 2nd store to the wholesale prices. Just a thought.

I do want the ones that are there so I came up with a work around that will work for me.
I made a category called Foster & Adoption Stories and have it turned on but am not adding products to it. Instead I changed the wording for the "You have no products listed" to something generic (the clients tag line), since there won't be any categories with no products, it doesn't matter what that say's. I couldn't leave it empty because it kept putting text_empty, even when I deleted that it would put it back.
So now I added a block I created with links on it to the center as my content and the links on the page go to pdf's I created and uploaded for the stories. I think that will work fine for me.
Just thought I document what I did in case anyone else is in need.
Since I have you here, I can't find where to edit the layout of the contact us page, can it not be edited for layout? What I mean can it not be edited individually for layout?

You can disable it in layout as well if you do not want it at all.
You need to edit language entry for date_format_short and date_format_long in System -> Languages -> Language Definition

Note: there is a small bug in 1.1.6 with storefront selection, it shows both admin and storefront. Will be addressed in 1.1.7.
mmm... what about changing this key in system->localisation->language_definitions?
Other way ....You can purge table language_definition and clear cache too to see effect.

Anyone have any idea why my file upload looks so weird ... I can't think of anything I did to cause this??

Just curious, all of the magnet images are transparent and all are png's, why is only that one doing it?
Try to open it in editor and save again in .png
PNG format has different types of background filling and also can be multi layered. Just try to save it with different settings
looks like you loaded image with transparent background..
i guess you should to fill background my white color.
it's not a bug.
Also you can try to edit css class "cloud-zoom-big", for ex to set background color under background-image.
