How does AbanteCart handle retina images?  Does it do it at the HTML/java/or jquery level?

Do I need to upload all images with @2x?

AbanteCart generate product's and categories images automatically when you enable retina images in Admin.
Make sure to clear AbanteCart cache and to use this feature apache module mod-rewrite must be installed and you need to rename the .htaccess.txt file to .htaccess
