Built-in Features / Coupon Use Differences

Hi everyone.

Can someone help me understand the difference in uses for coupons. I see that coupons currently have two uses:
1) Uses per coupon
2) Uses per customer

EXAMPLE
Let's say my store has 500 registered customers and I have created a coupon for 10% off (see attached screenshot).

My understanding is that "uses per customer" means that a customer can only use a coupon once and "Uses per Coupon" means that a coupon can only be used once.

My question is the following:

Using the above example, am I correct in thinking that when adding a coupon, you must choose either per customer or per coupon? You can't have both as in the attached screenshot?

If you can have both, does that mean that if one customer uses a coupon, the other 499 will not be able to use it?

Support / Hide product from public view

Hi everyone

Is is possible to still have a product available to checkout but not shown to the public in the store?

Let me explain my situation:

I currently have a local shipping extension installed for a flat delivery fee of R99.00 for a courier company called PostNet. This fee is charged to ship from one PostNet store to another PostNet store.

Let's say I have a customer that want me to ship the product to their home address. These fees will be different based on their location.

So I'm thinking my only option is to clone the product with the custom courier price included and send the customer the link to that specific product to check out.

My question is:

Is it possible to have a product on the store only accessible by visiting a specific link? In other words, it wont display as a product available in the store...only displayed by visiting a specific link.

A lot of the available extensions are expensive for us here in South Africa hence the above method.

Hope this makes sense.

General Support / AbanteCart keeps crashing

Hi there

Im just curious, has anybody come across a similar situation where one day AbanteCart is working perfectly and the next, everything has crashed?

Yesterday, in the admin section, I was adding some products and everything was perfect. This morning when I tried to log into the admin section, I received this error (attached screenshot).

This has happened before and I've had to recreate my entire store.

Does anyone perhaps have any suggestions as to what has gone wrong and how I can fix it. I'm relatively new to the coding side so I wouldn't know where to start.

My hosting providers says its not a server issue but a coding issue yet I haven't made any changes to the code.

Configuration / Create custom order

Hi Everyone

Apologies if this has already been answered but I cant seem to find an answer and I would appreciate some guidance.

Among existing products, our company makes custom-made products. Is there a way in AbanteCart to add a custom order to a customer's profile? I have looked at the Act on Behalf option but isn't quite what I'm looking for.

For example:
Customer X emails us and asks for a custom-made hat. Is it possible to manually add the order to the customer's profile and then manually mark it as paid or do I have to upload the custom product and process it through the store and then delete the product from the store once it's paid?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone

I just started using AbanteCart and I love it but when setting up and testing my store, I added a product and then went to checkout and created an account to test it but it couldn't create the account and gave me the following error (see screenshot).

I don't have experience coding so I'm not sure what it wants me to change on the different lines of code.

Any advice on how to fix this?
