I noticed, on my installation of abantecart 1.0.3

SEO does not work on Sub Categories?


Please advice.

I feel there should be release of patches after each version until the next version is released

We will need help with implementing mentioned Payment gateways for AbanteCart.
Feel free to contribute. 

I can provide the documentations maybe of certain payment gateways on here? if that would be of help.

The "price textbox" this is a bug and it will be fixed in ABanteCart 1.0.3 version.
About the currencies - did You set Indian Rupee as default currency before delete all others?

Okay thats great, about the textbox. i think for now its manageable.

However yes, as for the Indian Rupee. yes I selected INR as the Default currency for the store. and then deleted the remaining currencies. still i faced the issue, on first order (the amount went from 22k to 22 only)

Dear All,

Whenever i add a product and its price and cost. i appear to face a strange problem.

1. Abantecart version 1.0.2
2. Currency (New i created / INR / Indian Rupee / Decimal 2 and Symbol to left Rs )  This is the only currency rest all is deleted.


While adding product, the cost and price shown in the textbox by default is  0.00

However when i type price in the textbox ( 0_.00 ) the cursor jumps to after typing in that number (0X.00_)

Then. i hve to bring the cursor back to where i want to type the remaining number.. tedious. for sure.

Any advice? could it be something else or what? also i noticed with this currency whenever i had a amount such as (22450.00) automatically when first order is placed the amount turned to (22.00)

I believe by default atleast, one of the Indian payment gateway should be integrated with. a default extension for.

Payment gateways which are widely used across india. namely.

CCAVENUE, BillDesk & EBS

Why i suggest this is, bcuz most Indian merchants prefer to use indian payment gateways not just for their low fee but also for their integration with all banks, and allmost most Payment methods for the local or National Banks here.

Just a feedback from my side..... would like to hear the abante cart teams opinions on this

Was wondering, how about also making the cart solution default pack have ability to Easily integrated with CDN's or use Amazon S3 or such services.

Also the ability to use Memcached?

And finally, the support for MySQL DB Replication, which could allow store owners to spread their database across several servers for optimized and load balanced environments.

Just a thought, that these features and the ability to control them through Admin control panel would be useful.

We have update next version to have SEO Keyword for products be set automatically to the product name if not provided. Duplication will be checked as well.

It will available in v 0.9.2

Today i have been testing Payment modules, and i just thought it would be a good feature to have by default.

That is It would be great, to have a Payment related report. Specially concerning. The reason for a Abandoned Order.


And also report, on all payments, that has been returned by gateway unsuccessful  to the store.

Where in, in the case that for a certain reason if Payments of a certain Payment gateway keeps failing, if the reason is displayed.

Although the number of Abondoned order would increase, it would be easier to figure out the source of the problem for Store owners and admins.

I dont know if i have missed this, anywhere if the feature exists already.

But ex: i have set payment status's under moneybookers extension config. however nowhere to be seen (updates)

We did not find any issues with SEO for products

Make sure you have product set with seo keyword. If you do not have any seo keyword  you will see normal URL.

What in the case of 1000+ products under catalog of a certain store.

And someone uses Same SEO Keyword for multiple products such as example

"Compaq CQ 60 Notebook"  and uses the same again "Compaq CQ 60 Notebook"

Although technically i don't see it happening, but am not sure if in a certain scenario / product there could be a need for it.

Cuz in case same SEO keywords are used, only the first product with the same keyword is shown for all other products with same keyword.

Price can not change on it is own, unless someone else changes it. I you sure that this was not changed by some other person?
Can you please confirm this still happen?

I was earlier runing it on XAMPP and or WAMPP
Now i have it on a pure unix distribution. the store setup.

I just faced the same problem again, here is how it happened.

1. I added a product (cost : xxxxx.xx    price : xxxxx.xx)  (applied tax class of 5%)
2. When the cursor is taken out of the cost and price text box it automatically sets itself this way ( xx xxx.xx) notice the space.

3. I saved the product, added images, all set.. and its working fine.
4. I Edited the product, the price and cost were displayed in this format (xx,xxx.xx) i edited the cost (by reducing the price by 3k.
5. I saved it, and refreshed the product on the store front. now the price both on store front and in admin catalog is (xx.xx) and so is the cost (xx.xx)

Tried the SEO URL Option so noticed few things which i was wondering and had some doubts about. please do clarify my doubts.

And also haven't heard from you guys something surely is keeping you guys busy !


1. when using SEO URL option for Root Categories it works fine   example.com/category/
2. when using sub category under a root category it displays this way   example.com/index.php?rt=product/category&path=8_30
3. When view products from a root category    example.com/category/?product_id=2
4. when viewing product  from under sub category   example.com/index.php?rt=product/product&path=8_30&product_id=2

Is this supposed to be like that??

Also when viewing product categories and brands

example.com/xyzbrand
example.com/pqrcategory

would it be more seo friendly to use

example.com/brand/xyz
example.com/category/pqr
example.com/product/category/product name

There is no validation of cost and price. Possible you are right. But what if i had 1000 items and sell 990. left 10 items and i just want to sell them at any price. i think in this case you can set the price lower than cost
