General Discussion / Looking for Reliable Ebook Cre...
Last post by Belina Joy - Today at 02:10:00 PM
I have been exploring ebook creation services for the past few weeks since I wanted to turn my manuscript into a properly formatted digital book without messing up the layout myself. At first I thought it would be a simple task, but once you get into things like formatting for Kindle, adding a clickable table of contents, and making sure the cover looks good on different devices, it becomes clear why so many authors prefer to hire professionals instead of doing it all on their own.

I reached out to a few companies and ended up talking to The Authors Central about their ebook creation services. What stood out to me was how they explained the entire process, from formatting the manuscript to designing a cover that actually fits the genre and making sure the final file works smoothly across platforms like Amazon, Apple Books, and Google Play. They also walked me through how they handle revisions, which made me feel more confident before committing to anything.

For anyone else who is stuck trying to figure out whether to go the DIY route or hire someone, my honest suggestion is to at least get a few quotes and compare what each service offers. Some only do basic formatting, while others like The Author Central seem to offer a more complete package including cover design, editing support, and even guidance on publishing.

Would love to hear if anyone here has used similar services before and what their experience was like. Always good to compare notes before spending money on something this important for a book launch.

Please check that your store URL is configured correctly in AbanteCart and that you're accessing the store using the same URL and HTTPS.

For example, if the store is configured as www.site.com but you visit it as site.com, this may cause image-loading issues. Setting up the proper redirects to HTTPS and the correct www/non-www version may help.

Also, do you see any recent errors in the AbanteCart error log that might be related to the images?
Thanks for your suggestion.

Opinions / Re: What PHP framework?
Last post by esferasoftsolutionsusa - September 14, 2026, 06:34:18 AM
Thanks for the clarification. It's interesting to know that AbanteCart is built without relying on a third-party PHP framework, while still using Bootstrap 5 for the frontend. This approach seems to give developers more flexibility when working with or customizing the platform. Thanks for sharing the details!

Great points! I've been using AbanteCart for my small shop and love how easy it is to customize without needing coding skills. The open-source aspect really saves money compared to Shopify's monthly fees.

Hello.
That Firefox warning usually means there's a problem with the SSL certificate on the site.
Try opening your store with https:// in front of the domain. If Firefox still shows the warning, the SSL certificate may be missing, expired, or not set up for the correct domain.

If your hosting has cPanel or Plesk, look for SSL or Lets Encrypt, many hosts provide a free certificate there.

Sorry for the delay. We looked into this in more detail.

We can develop this feature, so Contact Us enquiries can be sent to a separate email address or ticket system without changing the store's main email.

Estimated cost would be $450–$600 USD, depending on the final requirements

Hello.
Are you sure this is actually happening, or are you assuming this is how the import works?

Hello.
Thanks for bringing this up. We are aware of the issue with menus in multi-store setups and will try to improve this in the next version.

Quote from: Lorenz (Tyson) on January 14, 2026, 09:50:34 AMHi guys, any news on this topic ? I would be very interested in a quotation cart - You really should take into consideration this point because so many B2B companies make the price of a product on the base of many other parameters, like if you need 5 item on spot or you want to buy 4000 pcz a year for the next 3 years... Abantecart is just amazing - I really like it, so well done, and it's so sad to turn off the page and skip this solution because there is no such an option. And as I said... B2B company would love to have a quotation cart - where I select products and quantities and the final result is request of quotation via e-mail. It's also much easier then going through a payment process...
Can you advice, if it would be possible to modify the scripts to get this result ?
Thank you - I have already made a working website with quotation system in Joomla
but I am not very happy of the backend for managing the catalog and also the SEO performance are not great...
Thanks in advace to anyone commenting my post.
I completely agree with you. For B2B, a quotation cart makes much more sense than forcing customers through a normal checkout with fixed prices.

I think it should be possible to modify the current cart/checkout flow, but it would probably be better as a separate extension rather than changing the core files. The basic idea could be:

hide product prices for selected products or the whole store;
let customers add products and quantities to a quotation cart;
replace the checkout/payment button with "Request a Quote";
save the request in the admin area and send it by email;
allow the store owner to create a final quote and send it back to the customer.

The most important part would be reusing the existing cart logic, because the product selection and quantities are already handled there. Only the final checkout process would need to be replaced.

This would definitely be a useful feature for B2B stores, so I hope someone develops an extension for it. I would also be interested in using something like this.
