PHP developers only patched php 7.x version
so you need to be using a script using php 7 ... you will have to update your scripts to the latest version, or use a different script.

You do need to use PHP 7.+
What exact version number do you have now?
AbanteCart will not work without unserialize() function. It is esential.
If hosting disabled it, I suggest changing your host.
What is the company name by the way?

They should give you control on PHP that you use.

My hosting site replied as follow
"The unserialize() function was required to be disabled because php developers no longer patch it due to being end-of-life. There's a serious vulnerability affecting all php 5.xx versions, causing us to be forced to disabled the unserialize() function. This means that unfortunately any script using this function with php 5 will be affected. PHP 7.4 is not affected and I have switched now to use php 7.4 for your site, please upgrade your script site to the latest version which supports php 7.4 and the site will then work again as expected."
and not supporting unserialize

we are the devs for your extension, if you are using AbanteCart v 1.2.14 or higher then here is the info.
Moving your installation to a new server (same domain name):
1. Make note of your license key first.
2. UNINSTALL your current extension and use the existing license key in your new server.
As it seems you might be moving new host, and perhaps changing the base site I have included those instructions also:

1. Make note of your license key first.
2. Contact support and tell us the extension you are moving, your license key, the old location and your NEW location. DO NOT use your current license key in new location until you receive a confirmation from us that the location update has been completed.
3. We will confirm the update license key for you to use in your new domain.
4. UNINSTALL your current extension and use the update license key in your new domain.
This is ONLY info regarding your Option Lite extension from us.
