I upgraded from 1.2.16 to 1.3.3 and now I am getting frequent "Unknown AJAX Error" when adding items to cart, searching, and checking out on my site. Why does this happen, how can I find the root cause and eliminate it?

1. Make sure you set a valid Store URL and visit the website with that URL. Setup redirect if necessary
2. Clear your browser caches
3. Update template if new version available
