Title: Maria 10.11 version anyone using it? update
Post by: llegrand on September 18, 2024, 01:14:12 PM
Any one using Maria 10.11 version with AbanteCart?  If so, seeing any issues?

With the change of centos to either AlamaLinux or CloudLinux  there are some small differences.  But the biggest one is the Maria was 10.6,   and now the leap is to 10.11.

We have updated all of our installations and all of our client installations to Maria 11.xxx and keep the latest version installed.   We updated shortly after the original post and have experienced no issues in the last year.

I haven't used MariaDB 10.11 with AbanteCart yet, but I've heard some users face compatibility issues after upgrading from 10.6. For smoother integration, it might be worth checking for updates or patches from AbanteCart.

What compatibility issues? Can you post some details?

If you're using or considering MariaDB 10.11, share your experiences or questions about its installation and configuration to help others in the community.

We updated to Maria 10.11 across all our AbanteCart installs, not long after CentOS changes pushed us toward AlmaLinux. Honestly, it’s been stable—no compatibility issues so far. Just make sure your configs are updated properly after the leap from 10.6. Maria 11.x has also been smooth in our experience.
