How do I set up recurring payments for a subscription/hosting service. The store default only offers one-off pricing.

There is no such feature in the default AbanteCart yet.

Is there a 3rd party solution? How can I bill my clients monthly?

I think most payment providers offer recurring bulling as an option . You can check PayPal or Authorize.net

It would be a matter of sending special condition to payment gateway to set up recurring bulling during checkout. This can be custom programmed to AbanteCart.
