could anybody tell me how to filter out IP-address
i do not want my counter to count my own visits
-
That is normally an option you set on your counter setup...not here.
-
If you're running Google Analytics here an article about that
http://www.diannahuff.com/2012/04/quick-tip-filter-your-ip-traffic-in-google-analytics/ (http://www.diannahuff.com/2012/04/quick-tip-filter-your-ip-traffic-in-google-analytics/)
If you're running some other program - just do a search on that programs documentation or board for help.

hi gordon
i know how google analytics works
but i was concidering the counter on every article
-
OK, first it wasn't me talked about GA.
What counter service are you using on your pages?
They are the ones, via your control/account panel, where you need to add your IP to block it.
It is NOT a cart issue.
-
Sorry Kees, it was me who brought in the GA. I thought you were asking about a third party web counter of some type.
Are you asking about the statistics in the Reports section for Products Viewed and Banner Statictics? If so, I haven't found where one can set an IP block. Another user or Admins will have to answer that.
I would suggest when you post a question, the more details you can give the easier it is for someone to actually answer what you are asking.

Thanks for clarifying Lee .. and to my knowledge you are correct...there is no way to ignore your own visits...
I suggest using statcounter or something like that...put the code in your footer.tpl and you can then filter out your visits.
-

i ment only the counter in you can see
in reports>products viewed

@kees - Then you're outa luck my friend....
No way to block it from within the cart
