Title: Manufacturer List Page

I am using collection instead manufacturer and i would like to have a page which is a list with it's name and small picture icon so i can list them in order of release.
how do i create one?

Also on home page, where it shows a scrolling list, when we hoover over a icon, can it display name?

you can try to create new custom block for this.
Open admin menu design->layout, choose page and press button "create block".. then choose tab with type of block (listing of html)
