import export products

if i made a clone of the main site

how do i know where to put the import data

if i have several sites

Hi Kees,  tell us a bit more about your several sites -  if you're using some or all of the same products you have on your main site and they are your stores -  then take a look at multistore setup it might be the easiest to manage solution-  here's the documentation.

You add your "other" stores as subdomains to your existing site OR another domain name entirely.  Note: they cannot just be a subdirectory in your existing domain.

In multistore there is only one Database so you don't have to import anything anywhere.
