Title: USPS API Authorization Failure

I'm getting the following US Postal Service error message:

"API Authorization failure. RateV4 is not a valid API name for this protocol."

How do I get this issue resolved?

I believe you are using a wrong api credential  to connect to their Production Server, there have been some recent changes at USPS

Did you register for a web API  at this url?

https://secure.shippingapis.com/registration/ (https://secure.shippingapis.com/registration/)

If not,  do so and use the credentials they email you -  You no longer need to call USPS to activate your API connection.

See if this is fixes the issue for you.  Please report back if it did or if you still have a problem.

Yes, I did register; I used the new username and password; they did not work. I keep getting same error message. The US Postal Service included a couple of URLs for their production servers. Do I need to enter the URLs too? If so, where?

Ollie,  I believe there may be an issue with the extension, as of Sept 7,  the UPSP has a new API.  I have posted to the Admins regarding seeing if the extension needs some update.  You can see at this link.

You will still need those credentials you got for the API,  but I do believe the extension will need updating also.

Thank you, Lee. I followed this link and the instructions on that page and everything is working well now.
