Im in the need to use "mysql_num_fields" in my project. i dont get any output on using this. What i have to do

Your question is not clear. Anyway according to PHP: Manual

Quotemysql_num_fields — this extension is deprecated as of PHP 5.5.0, and will be removed in the future.
