Title: Item not showing in Category

I just added a new product to my shopping cart. As always, I test the page to make sure everything is okay. The product page looks fine except that the item is not showing in any of the Category pages.

Any help to get this resolved will be greatly appreciated.

1. Check if your cache directory and files have correct permissions. It should be 777 or writable for same user as your apache or web server.

2. Try to clear cache

3. Try to delete all the files in system/cache/* directory manually. Keep index.html file.

I checked the permissions, they look good. I also cleared cache. When you say "delete all the files in system/cache", do you also mean the subfolders?

Yes, remove subfolders

Removing the cache subfolders did not work. Actually, it only worked when I did the first search then it's not working again.

Check again. I see http://assistech.com/store/sleepthru product in the http://assistech.com/store/sleep-aids category

That's odd. I didn't see this item listed when I first landed on page 1 of the search results. Once I moved to page 2 and went back to page 1, I found the product. To me, there's something weird about this behavior. It's something I observed both on my desktop and in my iPhone as well. I used Internet Explorer v. 10 and Firefox (not sure which version). I cleared the cache and repeated the search query, it didn't solve the problem. Please advise on how to fix the problem. Thank you.

What is your default sort order setting in admin? (try to set it to Name A-z)
Do you have additional extensions installed like refined_search?  possibly this is extension issue in this case report problem to extension developer (https://marketplace.abantecart.com/index.php?rt=product/product/comments&product_id=173)?

Default order is Name A-Z. I do have Refined Search installed. I'm waiting to hear from the developer on issues I'm having with other extensions so I'll add this one to the list.
