Title: FAVICON - Warning: please check favicon in your store settings.

Hai everyone,,,

1- I upload favicon throuh admin panel. But not appear in store front.

2- In admin panel I also get message: 

Warning: please check favicon in your store settings. Current path is "/home/vol2_8/akudanweb.cf/akud_15818761/kedai.akudanweb.cf/htdocs/shop1/resources/image/18/73/4.ico" but file does not exists.

3- Instead of uploading through admin panel where should I upload the favicon if I want to use FTP.

4- AbanteCart Cart Version 1.2.0

Hope someone can explain about this matter.

Ok,,,

I solve the problem already,, I convert to .ico before upload the favicon.
Change already.

Ollie -  It's on the System  (be sure you select the default template) > Settings > Appearance

It's the field called ICON  -  can  be PNG or ICO   and is is 16 x 16 px

Thank you, Lee. I use default_html5 so I guess I can't use favicon!!???

you should be able too -  it was available in version 1.1.9 and previous.   It is set in the system? > settings  > appearance screen.

and the field is Icon. 

The only reason I mentioned the template - is in 1.2.0  you have to be sure you're on the right template to get the system to open.

We have set the favicon in system/settings/appearance, naming it favicon.ico, and changed an AbanteCart favicon in the image folder in the main folder to our favicon.ico file. 

Still the favicon shows as AbanteCart's. 

We use the same file on our forum site just fine. 

Where should one look if they have the favicon.ico set in the system setttings under appearance and have it in the image folders for the site, but it still shows as AbanteCart's favicon?

If you are seeing your new favicon in the System > settings > appearance then it is probably the caching and/or cookies settings both in Abantecart and in your web browser.   

You can clear the cart cache within system > cache

and your browser in the normal manner  (but remember the cookes !)  So if you have another computer or open another browser that you've not been to recently or ever,  it will probably show up.

The favicon is in the system properly.  I have cleared all of the cache in the shopping cart and browser.  Plus, we have removed the AbanteCart favicon from the images file.  Yet, it does not change no matter where we check the page.  Does anybody have any other idea?

To change the favicon, you can upload through AbanteCart Cart admin panel (I think you can also upload through FTP by replace the default favicon to yours). The easiest method to do is already explain by llegrand.

If it not change (also happen to me), you have to clear cache (explain by llegrand).

Then hard refresh your page (press control+F5 twice or more)
