When I try to export products in a delimited file, my Windows system displays the error, "This App Can't Open. Your trial period for this app has expired". It then tells me to go to the app store.
1. The export feature is not a third party app that I must purchase, is it? I actually clicked on "go to store", but nothing happened.
2. Is there something I can do to fix this?

AbanteCart and it's extensions have no trial versions.
Probably you use some program with expired trial period that assigned to *.csv files or something like that.

I don't know of any trials I was using that related to .csv files. I did have a .tar unzip program trial, but I deleted that program. Even so, how would it be possible for that to hook into AbanteCart's download feature?

To open .csv files in Windows use Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice
