Lets do this manually. Go to admin-system-localization-Language definitions page and search with key default_flat_rate_shipping_name

I found how to resolve this. Change definition with key default_flat_rate_shipping_default_flat_rate_shipping

you are on the wrong SECTION. On your screen shot you are on the Admin.

You need to be on the Storefront to change language definitions for what your customer sees.

In admin go to Language Definitions section and refine grid by Flat Rate translation
