Hello.

On default template all colors controled by CSS rules usualliy in one .css file.
To find what CSS rule your need to change please use Firebug or browser inspector.

However, I strictly believe that for such common and frequent questions as changing background and block color should be
covered in the documentation, or better controled from admin. That should make things easier and save us valuable time...
